Cyber Monday Hello… Self Care for Moms Update

Cyber Monday?

No, this isn’t another deal email. Well, sort of, but not really – and not a time limited one like most Cyber Monday emails we receive on this day. No quick deals from this non sales person!

However, I have been thoughtfully considering what 2018 will look like in terms of the support I’m offering parents. A year or so ago I took off a good while from directly supporting others to focus on inner healing and clarifying how best to support other parents along the path of parenting consciously and non punitively.

One focus will be with moms and strengthening our foundation of self care such that we have an inner well to live from and to support our kids from. As a 17+ year mothering veteran (ok, it’s not the same as being in the armed forces, but the intensity can be pretty high at times for sure), at least one thing has become extremely clear: self care is essential for mothering intentionally. It’s just not possible for me to support my kids the way I’d like when I’m depleted. And like it or lump it, I’m the one who gets to be responsible for my own self care.

We hear about self care a lot these days, and the meaning varies from mom to mom. My plan is to help moms really anchor in viable self care practices as well as an overall personal approach that can be relied on in moments of stress, question, doubt – and when things are going well so we’re proactive in caring for ourselves.

We will dive into what self care means to us and looks like in our lives, how we feel when we are caring for ourselves, what we can do when things get hard and what various areas of our lives require in terms of self care. We all know that self care is just as much about moments of meditation or massage as it is making sure bills are paid on time or seeking out support resources when needed.

There are three ways you can interact with this work in 2018…

  1. Stay on the mailing list for occasional blog posts on topic and/or like my Facebook page for updates – cost free
  2. Join Mom’s Cave – a monthly support program for moms anywhere in the world which includes a written guide to discovering and crafting your own self care approach, twice monthly live group video calls on Zoom and a private Facebook group for discussion – cost $10/month
  3. Private Consulting – choose a package that works for you – meet for an hour via phone or video 1-4 times/month – cost $40-120/month

As I work to prepare for offering these services beginning January 1, 2018 I hope this update finds you well. If you have any questions or would just like to say hi, please feel free to email. I’d love to hear from you.

Take gentle care,
Amy
