About Amy

Mom of five, grounded and creative practitioner, multidisciplinary professional dedicated to supporting people through conflict, transition, growth, and healing. My work is rooted in clarity, compassion, and respect for the complexity of each person’s lived experience.

Across mediation, coaching, mindfulness, advocacy, and creative work, my focus is helping individuals, families, and organizations navigate challenging moments with greater awareness, steadiness, and choice. I support people in reconnecting with their own capacity for safety, clarity, and intentional action.

A Collaborative, Trauma‑Informed Approach

My approach integrates trauma‑sensitive practices, somatic awareness, mindfulness, communication skills, and collaborative problem‑solving. I help clients move from reactivity to response, strengthen relationships, and cultivate healthier patterns in daily life. Each service is designed to meet people where they are, honor their real story, and support movement toward healthier patterns, relationships, and possibilities.

The Story Behind the Work

As a child and teen, my heart work began with supporting elders, caring for orphaned animals, providing childcare for neighboring families, and volunteering in hospice, where I learned the power of presence and compassionate care. Motherhood expanded my path into breastfeeding support, attunement‑based parenting, collaborative problem solving and mindful approaches to family life.

Over time, I also came to understand how trauma, stress, and inherited patterns shape our lives — and how healing becomes possible through awareness, compassion, support, and choice. My work is informed not only by training but by lived experience, including a personal commitment to breaking cycles and tending to the parts of our stories that need repair and ongoing care.

This understanding fuels my ongoing study and strengthens my dedication to building healthier, more sustainable systems of care. I’ve seen how burnout, fragmentation, and unsupported caregiving impact individuals, families, and communities, and I’m committed to approaches that honor both the person and the larger systems we move within. My practice continues to evolve alongside the people and communities I support, guided by clarity, compassion, and respect for the real story each person carries.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with organizations throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region to strengthen communication, emotional literacy, and trauma‑sensitive practices, including:

  • Our Community Listens – communication and relational skills
  • YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region – women’s economic empowerment
  • Midland Public Schools, Bay Arenac ISD, and RISE – mindfulness in education
  • TRI‑CAP Probation Residential Center – recovery‑focused skills for women
  • The Rock – youth social‑emotional development
  • The Visibility Project Podcast – amplifying unheard stories

In 2021, I formalized Arising Phoenix Solutions LLC to create a flexible, values‑aligned foundation for my family and my work.
